The big 4-0!

It's been so long since I posted in here I thought it was time for an update. Still beading (though not as much) and now an independent consultant with Arbonne. I love love love their products and the fact that they contain no petroleum products and are botanically based. Interested in a sample? Want to learn how to be an independent consultant? Email me at sparklef123@chartermi.net .

Boy where did the weekend go? Maybe because I turned 40 this weekend it feels like time is just flying by! (ok, I still only feel about 25!)

My First Award!

I have been honored with an award from Honey Bear Beads! Thank you so much Mary!

Here's the story behind this award:
The authors say that blogs who receive this award are exceedingly charming.
This blog invests in the PROXIMITY in space, time and relationships.
These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in prizes or self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that even more friendships are propagated.
So, now it's time for me to pass on this award and 'propagate' some friendships!

I'd like to pass this award on to...

Lazy Days of Summer

It sure has been a lazy hazy summer! My creative muse has been in hiding for quite some time now. However, I did find time to make a couple of new things....unfortunately I can only post one picture as the batteries in my camera died today! So here is "Wild Lavender", now listed on Ebay! I hope you like it!

Polymer clay

As a proud member of the Bead Hive on ebay, I take part in a lot of challenges. One of our recent ones is a polymer clay cane exchange. What an addicting medium - I am hooked! And these canes - so many ideas! Although, my ideas don't seem to come to fruition. My leaves look twisted, my butterfly wings look abstract....But at least my brain cane came out pretty cool! Oh, and don't forget to check out my auctions on ebay: http://stores.ebay.com/Sparkle-fly-Artisan-Jewelry Thanks for stopping by!

Chain, Chain, Chain....

I made it to my very first wholesale gem show yesterday - talk about sensory overload! My budget didn't allow for a large splurge, but I did pick up some great handmade chain - both are diamond shaped links measuring 10mm corner to corner. I will have them listed later today on ebay - please take a peek!

It's Saturday!

It's Saturday morning, and I'm looking through my beads, trying to find some inspiration! It's hard to think springtime when we still have snow on the ground here!

I belong to a wonderful group on ebay called The Bead Hive - a group of fantastic, Self-Representing Bead and Jewerly Artists. Our group supports and challenges us to hone our craft. Our most recent challenge, going on through the 20th of April, is a Zodiac challenge. Using our Zodiac sign, and gemstones related to our sign, we create a piece to correspond. Here is what I have come up with: Rainbow Moonstone briolettes and square Freshwater pearls - Moonlight on Frost. Soon to be listed on Ebay!
